Shunichi Machino's R2D2 by airasumi Shunichi Machino's R2D2 by airasumi
I guess that you may know which character is this one.

I build this model as a gift for a co-worker, printed on glossy paper.

Wow, this is really cool and so very shiny ! Can his head move or is it glued in? Either way, great gift. I know I'd be pleasantly surprised to see something like this given to me ! xD

Thank you ^^.
Yes, the head rotates, as well as the legs. And the "foot" (or third leg?) is detachable.

BTW, I checked (part) of your gallery, it's amazing!

I'm hardly finding the time to watch the galleries of so many talented people.

Much appreciated, I'm watching your gallery now. I love small papercraft, but you raise (or in this case lowers? ;) ) the bar.

Hahaha! Thanks! It started because of a lack of space to put all the models. :P

This particular version (a shiny brand new version of R2D2 instead of the dirty one) looks so much better with glossy paper. Also the texture (mmm the feeling to the touch) is definitively different as well as the weight, this paper really adds a lot. This was my first try (and the only one so far) with glossy paper.

Thanks for the comment :)

No worries, it was a very good remark. I usually include a lot of info in forums and the like. Here at dA I'm completely new and somehow I still feel a bit lost :P.
